The Cygnus Loop - also known more commonly as the Veil Nebula - is a supernova remnant located in the constellation of Cygnus. This photograph is of only part of the Veil Nebula (aka, the western half), but in total it spans approximately 110 light years across.
This photograph is a false color "HOO" image with true-color stars, with a total integration time of 22 hours 30 minutes. Captured from Woodstock, Georgia.
